I'm Verónica Lucía Meléndez Marimón,
from Barranquilla, Colombia, and I'm turning a dream into a project. I am both a learner and a teacher. I have a degree in Special Education, a diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, and I am currently studying for a Bachelor in Foreign Languages online.
I have always been fascinated by the diversity of the world and its languages, but my most favorite is my own: my mother tongue. That's why I created this space, where I teach Spanish in a dynamic way and help others improve their writing skills.
Spanish with V was born from the dream of a university student who wanted to travel and make a living from her passion. For years, I worked a 8-to-5 job while teaching Spanish was just a side hustle until I decided to go all in. I quit my job in Colombia, grabbed my backpack, and started traveling the world, bringing my culture and language with me.
As a language learner myself, I know that everyone learns differently. I also know that each person has a unique reason for learning or improving their Spanish maybe you're passionate about the language, need it for travel, or use it as a key tool in your professional life. That's why, at Spanish with V, Spanish is taught in a flexible, dynamic, and personalized way.
Maybe you're like me- I perfected my English through music, and whenever I forget a word or expression, I remember it by singing the song that helped me learn it. Or maybe you prefer learning through reading; in that case, I can guide you with stories and texts tailored to your level.
I believe in the power of emotional experiences for meaningful learning, so I invite you to experience Spanish in an authentic way. More than just a teacher, I want you to see me as a friend in this journey.
